Last week the country’s top men and women players competed for the singles and doubles titles in the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. Georgia's Katarina Jokic, playing as the 9-seed, won the womens singles beating 11-seed Kate Fahey of Michigan 6-3, 7-5. In the men's final top seed, Petros Chrysochos fought back from a 5-1 deficit in the second set to win the last six games and claim the championship a year after he lost in the final. He beat 6-seed Daniel Cukierman of USC 6-4, 7-5. As winners both Jokic & Chrysochos now receive a main draw wildcard into a 2019 Oracle Challenger Series tournament. The women’s doubles was won by Clemson's Marie-Alexandre Leduc & Fernanda Navarro over Pepperdine's Ashley Lahey & Evgeniya Levashova 7-6 (5), 6-2. This is the first ITA National Championship in the history of the Clemson women's tennis program. For the men’s doubles UNC's Asheville Oli Nolan & Henry Patten beat Texas Tech's Bjorn Thomson & Parker Wynn 6-2, 6-1. The entire tournament was a rousing success and Sports Interiors was proud to be featured throughout the matches and breaks. Early round re-play matches can be seen at the link here.
