Flushing Meadows

Next week, a few of us here at Sports Interiors will be making the trek to New York City for the US Open (and also to visit a few indoor tennis facilities).  We're looking forward to touring the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and especially catching a match at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.  It'll be interesting to experience tennis, which is traditionally known for requiring a quiet setting, will be played in New York City, one of the busiest cities in the world.  With LaGuardia Airport nearby and the constant traffic, it truly creates a unique setting for one of the tennis majors.  Either way, we're eager to see some tennis live, see some of the pros practicing, and hopefully can attend a night match.  We'll definitely be posting on our social media about our time out there! Here's a link to a brief history of how the Tennis Center came to be: Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
